Aysanabee came onto the music scene after featuring in the Indigenous Music Awards’ 2020 emerging artists series and took part in the IMAs music video competition which featured his unique finger-style guitar playing.

He later featured in the Giiwewizh docuseries directed by Sarain Fox and presented by the Indigenous Music Summit which highlighted the stories of First Nations artists from all across the country.

Aysanabee is currently producing his first full-length album in partnership with Ishkode Records, a newly formed Indigenous owned-and-operated label founded by Amanda Rheaume and Shoshona Kish.

Melissa Ouimet

Melissa Ouimet, has been making a name for herself in the music industry for over 15 years. Raised in the small francophone community of St-Albert, Ontario, the singer-songwriter’s hard work has been rewarded with many prizes including the “Trille Or 2021” for concert of the year.

On top of being an artist and soon-to-be mother, Melissa is also a strong advocate for causes like the protection of the environment and social justice. In 2018, she launched a modified version of her song “Personne ne pourra m’arrêter”, which is now considered the anthem of the Franco-Ontarian resistance, with over 400 000 views on social media.

In 2019, she took part in the French-Canadian version of “The Voice”, where she was noticed by many fans and mentor Marc Dupré with whom she worked afterwards. Despite the 2020 pandemic, Melissa’s innovative spirit kept her and her followers busy with a series of live Facebook sessions. She was invited to perform at many concerts such as the Musiparc Tour (drive in concerts) as well as over 22 virtual shows for francophone schools in collaboration with Réseau Ontario. 2020 brought the launch of “In Love Again” and the new holiday classic “Noël dans la tête” which made it to the 3rd position in the French-Canadian Top 100 BDS charts. The music video was selected by the popular TVA channel to play during the holiday commercials and approached by Youtube for its coveted Artist on the Rise program. The hit song is now available in English as well, renamed “Christmas In My Head”.

In 2021, Melissa launched “Sans tomber” which quickly became a hit and was selected to play in the “Chicago Fire” trailer on TVA. She also produced “L’expérience virtuelle”, a virtual concert during which she could meet her fans. The songstress and executive producer is now writing a new album which will be available in the spring of 2022.
