World Juniors: Fan Fest

The 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship takes over Ottawa this holiday season, and Fan Fest is back and bigger than ever! Located at the historic Aberdeen Pavilion in the heart of the nation’s capital,  Fan Fest is free, family-friendly fun for all ages to enhance the World Juniors experience. Starting Boxing Day, put on your Team Canada gear and don’t miss your opportunity to be part of the excitement of Canada’s holiday hockey tradition.

Fireworks on New Years Eve   

Join us on December 31st at the Ottawa Christmas Market for an unforgettable New Year’s Eve celebration! Located at Aberdeen Plaza, the market will be open from 2:00 PM to midnight, offering a festive atmosphere with over 50 local vendors, live entertainment, and at midnight, a fireworks display to welcome 2025.

Christmas Tree Lighting

It’s back! Don’t miss the annual lighting of the majestic Lansdowne Christmas Tree.

Ottawa/Gatineau residents and visitors to the region are invited to attend and officially launch the holiday season with local celebrities, REDBLACKS’ mascot Big Joe Ho Ho and his friend Riley Raccoon, from the Ottawa 67’s.
