The 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship takes over Ottawa this holiday season, and Fan Fest is back and bigger than ever! Located at the historic Aberdeen Pavilion in the heart of the nation’s capital,  Fan Fest is free, family-friendly fun for all ages to enhance the World Juniors experience. Starting Boxing Day, put on your Team Canada gear and don’t miss your opportunity to be part of the excitement of Canada’s holiday hockey tradition.

Indigenous peoples everywhere observe the Winter Solstice. It is the day that the sun is the furthest from the equator. Their spiritual foundation lies in the natural world of connection and Solstice is a time to honor and acknowledge the natural patterns of our universe and existence.

The Ottawa Christmas Market has its very own Santa’s Workshop. You can be a busy little elf creating Christmas decorations to add to your home décor or give as gifts. Visit us to make kids’ crafts during the day. Everyone is welcome. All activities are free. No registration required. Space is limited. Check out the workshops below for kids’ activities. Enjoy!

On Friday and Saturday nights, Santa’s Workshop is all about the older elves. Cocktails and Crafts is a private party for up to 8 friends to make Christmas decorations while enjoying some festive cocktails. Check out the workshops below for adult activities.

Santa’s Village is open for photos, but Santa Claus is back to the North Pole!

Santa Claus will return for in-person visits next season. From the warmth of his cabin and the comfort of his chair, Santa will welcome you to Santa’s Village, where you can say hello to the big guy and take a photo with him.

Sensory Santa 

Santa is visiting us at this special time to meet and take pictures with his friends with autism in a sensory-friendly environment.

The time set aside for Sensory Santa is exclusive for children on the spectrum and their families.

Sensory Santa is held in partnership with QuickStart Autism. Registration required.
